		Welcome to The Arnold and Friends Fund In 2002, The Arnold And Friends Fund was set up to support orphaned children in Zimbabwe. Our first orphanage to support was Mother Of Peace Orphanage Community consisting of about 155 wonderful children in Mutoko, Zimbabwe. We have set up this site to help Mother Of Peace Community find basic items to help them get through any given day. Mother of Peace Orphanage The objective of Mother of Peace Orphange (established 1994) is to provide a loving and caring homelike environment to orphan children of Zimbabwe who have been infected by or affected by the catastrophic AIDS pandemic in Zimbabwe. Children receive nurturing and compassionate care and services, including nutrition, culturally appropriate education, basic health care, social support, and are brought up in the Zimbabwean culture and tradition. We currently serve 155 children and the number of children being referred into the Orphanage is growing substantially. We are striving to achieve self-sufficiency as a community, and planning and preparing our limited resources to serve the increasing number of new children arriving continuously. We focus on health, prayer, family love and support. These factors, we believe will delay the onset of AIDS by building up the resistance of those who are HIV positive. Our objectives are: to increase our capacity to serve 400 children to become more self-sufficient in farm produce. To provide from any excess crops and giving of donated used clothing to poor families outside the community build pre- and primary school facilities on site to set up vocational training for those children who are unable to achieve academic qualification to upgrade and improve the existing irrigation system for effective self-sufficiency to network with stake holders for appropriate care methods The Mother of Peace Orphange provides help in the sectors of agriculture, children/youth, the disabled, education/training, health care, HIV/AIDS, orphan programmes, poverty alleviation, religion and rural development.
