Description

This PSA pictures two men fighting over a seat of power, symbolized by a chair. One wears a green “kaffiyeh” – or scarf – while the other wears a white one, representing the two political parties of Hamas and Fatah, at odds with one another in Palestine. A young boy waving a large Palestinian flag, enters and interrupts their struggle. “Enough!” he cries, and signals to a map of the Palestinian territories on the wall behind them. In the next shot, the text reads, “Dialogue Is the Path to Civil Peace.” The scene resumes with the two men seated together at a table, signing an agreement and shaking hands. The PSA conveys the desire of the public, to see progress and cooperation among its leaders. The PSA urges Fatah and Hamas to overcome political infighting by putting the welfare of the people first.
